The client
Vitrifi is a London-based networking company, founded in 2021, that provides a cloud-native broadband “operating system” for telecommunications providers. Their platform uses real-time data, AI, and automation to unify fragmented legacy telco systems (BSS/OSS), enabling tasks like customer lifecycle management, provisioning, and capacity adjustments to happen without manual intervention — significantly reducing cost to serve and accelerating time to revenue.
The work
Artxcode was brought in while the company was in stealth mode, to help build out their core platform. The platform was designed to be cloud-agnostic, capable of running on any major cloud provider, and to handle the complex requirements of telecom networks.
A BPMN workflow engine was delivered using Camunda Zeebe, allowing the client to orchestrate and automate complex processes with greater reliability. The GitLab CI/CD pipelines were also restructured into a multi-stage workflow, complete with automated testing to ensure safer and more consistent deployments.
Prometheus was introduced to provide deep operational insights, with a set of infrastructure-focused custom metrics added to extend observability. These metrics powered a suite of Grafana dashboards that visualised performance and system behaviour in real time.
To strengthen the client’s event-driven architecture, integration tests were implemented for their Kafka setup, improving confidence in message flow and overall system resilience. Kubernetes deployments were standardised through newly created and updated Helm charts, supporting repeatable, scalable, and cloud-native delivery.
On the product side, the team shipped a Golang-based API alongside a modern React user interface, supported by a dedicated frontend CI pipeline. For richer insights and usability, interactive data visualisations were added using Chart.js.
